Slang is an ever-evolving, ever-changing thing. The jive and trash people talked back then isn't the same as what kids are down with today. Sometimes, it seems as if it would be very easy for our children to discuss something sinister or "sus" right in front of us and we would have no idea what they were talking about. Every Generation has a Language Growing up my friends and I had our own language and lexicon. Some things we said were widely recognized by everyone our age across the country, and some things we said were just things that were made up among ourselves, sometimes from something funny on a particular day or an event that still stays with us. Having children in my house gives me a front-row seat to the ever changing words and phrases that make up the conversations kids have. Wife and I don't exactly understand everything they are saying.
